Alexander DiJulio is thrilled to announce the upcoming solo exhibition by Scott Csoke—Scenes from John Derian. A solo exhibition of paintings from the Brooklyn-based artist will be their first with the gallery and will mark their first in New York. The show will feature ten new works on panel that give an insight into a landmark New York City institution, John Derian Co., an East Village store of collaborative handmade goods and exotic finds where the artist has worked and drawn inspiration for years. The works in Scenes from John Derian show Csoke’s fascination with maximalism, color, and the world of interiors through confident, unfussy brushwork and an acute attention to detail.
